The President of BCCI awarded with an honorary diploma by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan

Last week, during a ceremony held at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador in Sofia the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov was awarded with the honorary diploma of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan for 2022.

Simeonov's efforts and contribution to deepening the trade and economic exchange between Japan and Bulgaria, as well as to the development of the Bulgarian economy, were highly appreciated. The official visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Bulgaria in 2018 gave impetus to BCCI’s close relations with the Japanese government and a number of business organizations. Tsvetan Simeonov is one of the founders of the Japan-Bulgaria Business Association and provides support for various events aimed at strengthening the bilateral economic ties.

Tsvetan Simeonov thanked for the high distinction and emphasized that he considers the received award not only as an assessment of the efforts made, but also as an incentive for even more active work for the development of business relations between the two countries. The award was achieved with the enormous contribution of the teams of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Japanese Embassy in Sofia.
